Wood Species
Watson Stairs stocks handrail, treads,
and newels in red oak. We stock some balusters in poplar and some in pre-primed.
Stocked items are naturally our most economical products, however we are
equipped to manufacture most parts in just about any species you desire. Below
are some of the most common species that we are asked to use. Currently white
oak is very popular, but we also use walnut, American cherry, hard maple,
Brazilian cherry, mahogany, Australian cypress, and heart pine regularly Images
below are random samples of these specific wood species. Colors and grain
textures will vary and these are meant only as a reference point from which to
begin your selection process.
